Moonstone Center
Moonstone is a rare and beautiful gem whose main visual property is adularescence. This is the result of the way light is defracted as it enters the stone, and it leads to moonstone’s unique appearance. The dramatic size of the moonstone in this ring allows the full beauty of the stone to shine through, and the impressive dome it creates evokes images of the moon itself.
Diamond Halo and Band Design
Surrounding the large moonstone in the center is a halo of round bright cut set diamonds. These add a brilliant white sparkle, which complements the soft glow of the main stone and brings a decidedly glamorous flair to the design. The way the halo follows the moonstone’s contours exactly helps to highlight its perfect shape, while the relatively small size of the diamonds compared to the center keeps the focus solidly on the moonstone. The band is made of 14k white gold, and it’s softly rounded on top. It splits about half way up each side, allowing the two strands that form to arc out and intersect the bottom of the main setting closer to the widest points. This gives a nice balance to the piece, and it enhances the structural integrity of the design as well.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
