Custom Ruby And Diamond Fashion Ring
Item #102830Fashion Ring Description
Center Diamond
The largest gemstone in this ring is a 0.38 carat princess cut diamond, and it’s channel set in 14k yellow gold at the very top of the band. The setting curves around the corners of this diamond slightly as it transitions to the smaller stones on either side, and so the center stone is also the widest point on the band. This helps highlight the diamond’s central place in the piece, as well as the size difference between it and the accents further down the band.
Ruby and Diamond Accents
On either side of the center diamond, a princess cut ruby is also channel set, and beyond these, four princess cut diamonds run down each shank shoulder in the same channel setting. The diamonds together total 0.53 carats, and the use of the rubies to separate them from the diamond at the top is a lot of what gives this ring its distinctive contemporary flair. Metal and Gemstone Options
Because all of the stones in the ring are princess cut, they sit flush against each other, and this creates the look of almost a solid block of gemstones all the way across the top of the band. Using round stones instead would create some space between them, giving the ring a softer and more classical feel.
You could also use different types of gemstones if you’re looking to put your personal mark on the design. Sapphires, for instance, come in many different shades, and pink and brown diamonds are excellent choices as well. You may also consider switching to rose or white gold, as the distinctive colors of these metals would add a different type of contrast and alternative aesthetic to the piece.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
