Two-Tone Band
The two-tone look of this ring is achieved by the use of 14k rose gold for the inner band and 18k ultra white gold for the rails. The color contrast this introduces into the piece helps bring complexity to the design without the use of gemstones, and it also makes the ring more versatile.
A two-tone look is especially popular on pieces like wedding bands since they are something you are going to wear everyday, and you want to be sure they look natural for every occasion. A combination of metals like this can also be used to create a link between the men’s and women’s rings in a bridal set if both metals are used in both pieces. Matching Wedding Sets
Ultra White Gold
While the rose gold takes up a sizable chunk of the top surface of the ring, the majority of the piece is actually made of ultra white gold. This is white gold that does not require rhodium plating to maintain its bright white appearance as most other white gold does.
Rhodium plating eventually wears off, especially on a high-wear item like a wedding band, and so requires replating to keep its look consistent and hide the true champagne color of the underlying metal. Ultra white gold, while slightly more expensive to begin with, will not need this type of special maintenance over the years.
Contrasting Finishes
Contrasting finishes are also used in this piece to make the separation between the two sections even more pronounced. This means that the rose gold section has a matte finish created by sandblasting on top of a hammered surface for a more complex texture. A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
