This stylish men’s wedding ring features a baguette diamond flush set on one side of a flat platinum band. It was created for a client from Sunnyvale, CA, who contacted us online to describe the ring he wanted us to make. We gave him several options in terms of metal and finishes, and he chose the combination pictured here.

Baguette Diamond
The single gemstone in this ring is a 0.20 carat baguette diamond. It’s flush set lengthwise along one edge of the band, adding a nice sparkle without taking over the design. Its off-center position brings some contemporary overtones to the ring, and this integrates nicely with the setting choice as well.
While gemstones are not always included in men’s wedding rings, adding a small accent like this is a great way to mark the significance of such a special piece. It can also allow you to build a connection between the men’s and women’s rings that make up the wedding set, representing the link you share even when you’re apart.
Contrasting Finishes
The top of this ring is brushed to create a matte finish, but the fronts are polished to a high shine. This contrast adds a layer of complexity to an otherwise minimalist design that makes it a much more interesting piece and much more eye-catching. The use of a brushed finish on top also helps the diamond stand out by presenting a more subdued background for the stone’s stunning sparkle.
Adding a Personal Touch
One hidden feature our client requested for this piece was to have an inscription in hebrew engraved on the inside of the band. This is an excellent way to add a personal touch to your piece while still keeping the outside low-key, and it can be extra special to have a feature like this that no one knows about except you and your partner. Some brides and grooms choose to engrave a few words, while others opt for initials or dates. Another option might be to flush set a small gemstone on the inside of the band such as your partner’s birthstone or some other gem included in her engagement ring or wedding band.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
