Custom Blue Sapphire And Diamond Men's Wedding Band
Item #102861Men's Wedding Band Description
After speaking to our team in person in our Bellevue showroom, he worked with us online to revise the initial outlines we created. Once we were close, he requested to view a wax model, which we grew for him as part of our custom design process. After making a few small tweaks to that, he approved the adjusted design to move into production.
Blue Sapphire
The main stone in this ring is a 2.13 carat emerald cut blue sapphire. It is flush set in the flat top surface of the platinum band, and the shape of the top platform loosely mirrors the shape of the stone. It covers most of the top portion of the ring, leaving only a narrow band of metal to frame it before the transition to the band begins.
The use of a flush setting for this gem helps keep it protected from damage due to everyday wear, and it also helps deepen the rich blue color of the stone. This contrasts nicely with the brilliant white of the platinum as well, making the sapphire really stand out.
Diamond Accents
There is a trillion shaped diamond flush set on each shank shoulder just below the edge where the transition from the center setting to the band begins. These are oriented with a flat edge up, running parallel to the main setting. The lower part, then, points directly down along the band towards the bottom of the ring, tying in nicely with the other design elements to create a cohesive piece.
Band Design
The shape of the band itself was something the client spent considerable time working with our team to perfect. He wanted to make sure it switched smoothly from the center setting to the shank in just the right way, and he was also concerned that it taper precisely the way he wanted moving down the sides.
There is some groove detailing on the band, and this is in the form of two lines that come down at a slant from the corners of the main setting. They come together right around the mid-point on the band, and then a single line continues all the way around to connect to the grooves on the other side. Design Your Own Wedding Ring
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
