Custom Men's Mokume Wedding Band
Item #101265Men's Wedding Band Description
After spending some time with him in person, we took his inspiration piece and the details he gave about how he wanted to customize it, and came up with a unique design that we then shared with him online. He liked the models we showed him very much and he gave his approval for us to move his ring into production.
Mokume Inlay
The mokume gane portion of this ring is made up of 14k palladium white gold and sterling silver. To create the beautiful, organic patterns seen here, the metals were layered together and then forged using a centuries-old technique first developed in Japan for use in decorative sheaths and handles for samurai swords.
Because of the nature of the forging process, no two pieces of mokume every come out exactly alike. However, if you like the patterns you see here, we can use the same combination of metals and the same process, and you can expect about an 80% pattern match. Mokume Jewelry
Contrasting Finishes
The mokume section of this ring features a sandblasted finish, while the 14k white gold rails are polished to a high shine. The contrast this creates enhances the separation between the two sections, and it gives the design an additional layer of depth as well.
Accent Diamonds
This ring also includes four diamonds, which are evenly spaced around the band. They are flush set, with each one sitting just off the corner of one of the faces of the squared band. These diamonds were taken from a ring that had been passed down in the client’s family, making them an especially significant inclusion and a wonderful way to add a personal touch to such a special piece.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
