Custom Men's Mokume Wedding Band
Item #102346Men's Wedding Band Description
Mokume Gane
The mokume gane that fills the center section of this ring was made with a mix of 14k rose gold, 14k palladium white gold, 14k yellow gold and sterling silver. It was also oxidized and etched to get the dramatic color contrasts and definitive lines seen here.
The technique used to make mokume gane jewelry was developed in Japan hundreds of years ago, and it requires a significant amount of experience and still to master. It involves layering several different types of metal together and then forging them in a particular way in order to produce wonderful organic patterns like what you see in this piece.
Because of this special production process, no two mokume pieces will ever be exactly the same, even if they’re made up of the same combination of metals. And you can actually create many different looks and styles by choosing different metals or finishes for your mokume piece.
Squared Shank
The client tried on a variety of rings in our showroom and eventually settled on the squared type of shank used here. It gives the ring a decidedly masculine look, as well as adding some contemporary flair, and that’s enhanced by the diamond accents set into all four corners on both fronts of the ring.
Stylistic Choices
If you’re interested in adjusting this design to suit your own personal style, or if you’d like to take some elements from this ring and use them as a base to create a brand new piece, we can help. Our experts will go over all of the options with you in terms of style and materials until we know exactly what you want your ring to look like.
Next, we’ll create highly-detailed CAD proofs of your design so that you can examine and critique it before we send it off for production. We’re committed to making sure you get exactly the piece you’ve always dreamed of, and that means we’ll revise our design as many times as necessary until you tell us it’s perfect in every way.

Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
