Description
This incredible men’s wedding ring features narrow platinum rails bordering a wide filigree section made of 18k yellow gold. It was created for a client from Land O Lakes, FL, who had found an inspiration piece that she liked and wanted to customize for her fiancee. Center Filigree
The center of this ring is composed entirely of ornate filigree made from 18k yellow gold. The design is based on the inspiration piece the client provided, but she asked that we also incorporate some music notes into the filigree, and this was the major modification we made to the piece for her. She also specified a 9mm band to make sure there was plenty of room for the filigree design to develop, and we accommodated this request as well. Men’s Custom Wedding Bands
Two-tone Band Design
On either side of the filigree, a narrow platinum rail frames the center section perfectly, providing a nice color contrast as well as a satisfying balance to the design. Both the center and rails are polished to a high shine, allowing the beauty of both metals to come through clearly. The two-tone look is a popular one, and it’s one of the elements that drew the client to her inspiration piece to begin with.
Customization Options
Just as this client customized the filigree design in this piece, you can also take advantage of this feature to work in a detail of special personal significance to you or your partner. Alternately, you could opt to go with all one metal for this piece, or you could switch the placement of the two metals and have yellow gold rails bordering a platinum center. Using contrasting finishes is worth considering as well, and you could even integrate some small gemstones into the filigree to forge a connection between the men’s and women’s rings in the set. A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
