Men's Custom Mokume Wedding Band
Item #1482Men's Wedding Band Description
Our custom design process is set up to ensure your complete satisfaction with the piece we produce for you. That’s why you can request modifications to our CAD models as many times as you’d like, and we won’t put anything into production until you’ve given your explicit approval. We can even grow a wax representation of your piece for you to inspect in person, so you can be absolutely sure what we’ve designed is perfect for you in every way.
Mokume Gane
The main feature of this ring is the mokume gane inlay that runs all the way around the middle of the band. It’s made up of 14k rose gold and sterling silver, and these two metals were layered and then forged together to create the flowing, organic patterns you see here. Mokume Jewelry
Mokume gane patterns are often thought to be reminiscent of wood grain, although there are some more geometrically-styled patterns that we can produce as well. No two mokume gane patterns will ever be identical, which is part of what makes it such an intriguing feature to include in your ring. If you see a design that you like in one of the pieces in our showroom or on our website, however, we can use the same process for your piece to generate an expected pattern match of about 80%. Band Design and Customization
The mokume section dominates the top of the ring, and it’s framed nicely by the yellow gold rails that border it on either side. The band itself is half-round, which helps push the mokume even more into the forefront, as it sits at the highest point while the rails slope away towards the edges. Both the rails and the mokume feature a brushed finish, and this gives the ring a soft, matte surface that enhances the warm tones of the metals to create a more classical feel for the piece.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
