Bezel Set Diamonds
The three diamonds in this ring are all princess cut and bezel set in 14k white gold. They’re arranged in a line that cuts across the band from one side to the other, and the three stones combined total 0.15 carats. Each diamond also lines up with one of the three sections of the band itself, and their brilliant white sparkle is complemented nicely by the silvery shine of the surrounding metal.
Band Design and Contrasting Finishes
The band is 8mm wide, which is right in the middle of the normal range for a men’s ring. Its top surface is divided into three equal sections by narrow grooves that continue all the way around the band. These grooves, and the sections they define, are interrupted only at the top of the ring by deeper grooves that separate the bezel settings holding the diamonds from the rest of the ring. To further clarify the design details of the band, a combination of brushed and polished finishes is used. The brushed finish is applied to the tops of the three sections, while the grooves, ring fronts and bezel settings are polished to a high shine. This detail also helps the sparkle of the diamonds stand out that much more dramatically, and it adds a new level of intricacy to the design.
Of course, as part of the customization process, you could choose to go with only one type of finish, or you could pick a different combination of finishes. For instance, a sandblasted finish could be used in place of the brushed one seen here to bring a different type of matte effect into the picture.
