Mokume Gane
The lovely, organic designs that cover this ring are the result of the mokume gane forging process. The technique used to create pieces like this was originally developed in Japan, and over time, its uses have expanded from the hilts and sheaths for samurai swords to fine jewelry as well. The nature of the forging process also dictates that no two mokume pieces are ever exactly the same, and so including it in your ring will ensure it is truly one-of-a-kind. Mokume Jewelry
Finish and Metal Options
This particular ring is made from a combination of 14k palladium white gold and sterling silver, but you can also mix in yellow or rose gold in place of or in addition to these. We have many sample pieces you can look at to get an idea about the way the different metals look when combined, and our team will work with you to find just the right combination to get the look you’re after. Men’s Custom Wedding Bands
The brushed finish found on this band is also not the only option available. If you’re interested in a more classical look, you may want to go with a high polish instead. Sandblasted is another type of matte finish that we can apply, and we can use acid etching as to highlight different aspects of the design if you decide you like that look.
Custom Wedding Bands
Having all of the rings in your wedding set custom made at the same time is a wonderful way to include special personal details that will create a connection between all pieces. Even though men’s and women’s wedding rings are often quite different stylistically, using the same type of mokume gane in parts of both, or integrating a small, flush-set gemstone into the men’s ring, can bring unity and a truly personal touch to the set.
