Men's Mokume Wedding Band
Item #1464Men's Wedding Band Description
Mokume Gane Inlay
The middle third of this band is made up of a combination of 14k palladium white gold, 14k rose gold, and sterling silver. In order to create the gorgeous, organic patterns you see here, these three metals were layered together in thin sheets and then forged using a particular technique that was originally developed in Japan long ago. Mokume Jewelry
The method for creating these mokume gane pieces is especially difficult to master, and our expert artisans have perfected it, as you can see from this piece. The flowing, organic patterns typical of mokume gane are never identical from one piece to the next, although if you find a design you like, we can use the same process to make yours, and you can expect about an 80% pattern match.
Finish and Metal Options
Bordering the mokume gane section on either side are wide palladium rails that fill out the remainder of the 7mm wide band. These slope down gently towards the edges, giving the ring a softer, slightly rounded look.
Both the mokume gane section and the palladium rails feature a brushed finish as well, and the matte surface this creates helps bring out the warmth and complex tones of the metals. If you wanted to make a clearer distinction between the two different sections, you might consider using contrasting finishes on the mokume and the rails.
You could also choose a different metal for the rails, with white or rose gold both offering a link to the mokume section along with some more classical overtones. The width of the band is another element you may want to adjust to move this piece more inline with your personal tastes. Men’s wedding rings generally run between 6mm and 9mm wide, and the best way to determine exactly what you prefer is to go try on some different pieces, either in our showroom or at your local jeweler.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
