Bright Cut Set Diamonds
The four diamonds in this ring are all round and bright cut set in 14k white gold. They’re arranged in two rows within a square shape that’s carved out of the top of the middle section of the band, and they combine to total 0.06 carats. The brilliant white sparkle of the stones stands out next to the brushed surface of the white gold that surrounds them, and you could enhance this contrast further by choosing to go with rose or yellow gold as the material for the band. Customizing this design might also involve switching to a different type of gemstone in place of some or all of the diamonds. For instance, there may be a certain type or color of stone with special meaning for you and your partner, and so working it into your ring in this way would bring even greater significance to the piece.
Band Design and Contrasting Finishes
This band is 7mm wide, and its top surface is divided into a wide middle section and narrow rails that run along either side. This division is accomplished through the use of thin grooves that continue all the way around the band, and the separation is given greater clarity through the use of a brushed finish on the center section while the rails are polished to a high shine.
The specific combination of finishes used is another element you may want to experiment with as you work through the custom design process. Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
