Men's Sandblasted Mokume Square Band
Item #100525Men's Wedding Band Description
Mokume Gane
The term mokume gane refers to the product of a specialized forging process developed several hundred years ago in Japan. It was originally used to make decorative handles and sheaths for samurai swords, but it was quickly adapted to other uses as well, including in jewelry. The technique involves layering very thin sheets of different metals together and then forging them in a particular way, and this is what produces the flowing, organic designs you see in this piece. Mokume Creations
Due to the nature of the forging process, no two mokume gane pieces will every be completely identical. If you do see a type of design you like, however, we can use the same metals and method when forging your piece, and you can expect about an 80% pattern match.
The mokume in this ring is made from a combination of 14k palladium white gold and sterling silver. From the side, it’s easy to see how the layers of metal create almost concentric circles around the ring, and this contrasts nicely with the organic design on the top.
Band Design
This band is squared on the outside, with gently curved sides coming together at four distinct corners. The interior is still perfectly round, and it’s slightly domed to create a comfort fit. The ring is also sandblasted, and it’s lightly acid etched to make the distinction between the two metals a bit clearer.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
