Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is 7mm wide and made of 14k white gold. It’s divided into a center section, which is slightly raised, and that’s bordered on either side by beveled rails. The rails are also separated from the center by a shallow groove, while another narrower groove splits the center section itself in half.
Three pairs of round diamonds are bright cut set in the middle section and they’re evenly spaced across the top third of the ring. One diamond in each pair sits on one side of the middle groove, while the second diamond sits on the other, and these stones are sized so that their settings perfectly span the half of the center section they’re on. Contrasting Finishes and Customization
To further clarify the separation between the sections of this piece, the raised portions of the center section are hammered and sandblasted, producing an uneven matte surface. This contrasts strongly with the smooth, highly polished surface of the rails and the grooves, and you could add even more to this contrast relationship by using rose or yellow gold as an inlay for the center section.
