Band Design
This ring is 8mm wide and made of 14k white gold. Its top surface is flat, with the only deviations from that being the narrow groove that runs down the center of the band, along with the beveled edges on the margins of the ring. These details create a subtle complexity for the design that helps to enhance its understated elegance while at the same time bringing a bit of contemporary flair to the piece. Contrasting Finishes and Finish Options
The main sections of the top of the band have a matte surface as a result of the brushed finish that was applied to them. This contrasts beautifully with the high polish finish in the center groove and on the beveled edges, helping to create another level of separation between the various areas of the ring.
The combination of finishes used is just one element you can experiment with as you move through the custom design process. For instance, you may want to switch to rose or yellow gold rather than white, or you might decide to include a small flush set gemstone either on the inside or outside of the band.
