Two-tone Band Design
The main body of this ring is made of 14k white gold, and it’s 7mm wide. The top of the band is gently domed, giving it a classical feel, and the two grooves that divide its surface run parallel to each other all the way around. These grooves separate the center of the ring, which is also the highest area, from the rails on either side, and this brings a satisfying balance to the piece along with a dynamic movement. The use of 14k yellow gold within the grooves adds contrast and reinforces some classical overtones as well. The two-tone look this creates is a popular one, and you could also choose to go with rose gold for the inlay rather than the yellow used here. Switching the positions of the yellow and white gold is another option to consider as you work through the custom design process, and that would dramatically impact the overall look and feel of the piece as well.
Contrasting Finishes
To further clarify the separations of the sections of this ring, a brushed finish is applied to the white gold, while the yellow gold within the grooves is polished. That intensifies the contrast between the two metals, and it also adds to the rich expression of the beauty of each.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
