Mokume Wedding Ring
Item #103891Men's Wedding Band Description
You can begin that process by visiting our Bellevue, WA or Seattle, WA showroom in person, or you can reach out to us online. We’ll discuss your ideas and preferences with you and use the information we gather from that conversation to develop a unique design for you in CAD. You can request modifications to these models as many times as you’d like, and we won’t turn anything over to our expert artisans to begin production until you’re completely satisfied with every detail. Mokume Gane
The outer surface of this ring is composed entirely of mokume gane made from a combination of 14k rose gold, 14k palladium white gold and sterling silver. The sterling silver has also been oxidized to give it a darker color. The effect of this is to produce greater contrast within the piece, which, in turn, helps to highlight the dynamic wood-grain style patterns that cover the ring. Mokume Jewelry
The nature of the mokume gane forging technique is such that no two pieces created using this method will ever be exactly the same. But if you do see a pattern or style that you like, we can use the same technique in your piece, and that generally leads to about an 80% pattern match.
Band Design and Contrasting Finishes
The band itself is 7mm wide, and the interior is 14k rose gold that’s been polished to a high shine. The mokume, on the other hand, is brushed, and the outer surface of the band is domed, giving the ring a hint of classical flair. The contrast between the two finishes helps highlight the separation between the sections of the ring, and the brushed finish on the mokume also brings greater character and depth to the organic pattern found there.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
