Band Design and Contrasting Finishes
The band is 6mm wide and made of rose tungsten. The middle section is flat, and it features a brushed finish, creating a nice contrast with the polished rails on either side. These rails are beveled, angling down towards the finger on either side of the center section. That gives the ring a more striking profile and a subtle complexity, all of which is further enhanced by the clear separation between the sections.
Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing this piece, some options you may want to explore include modifying the width of the ring, using a different combination of finishes, and using a different color metal for the ring. The 6mm width of this band is on the narrow end for a men’s ring, and so you may want to widen it to make it more comfortable for you. The best way to determine the width you prefer is to try on rings of varying widths, and you can do that in our Bellevue, WA showroom or at your local jewelry store.
When it comes to finishes, you might decide you like the look of an all polished band better than the contrasting piece you see here. Alternately, you may want to switch the placement of the brushed and polished finishes, or you could decide to use a sandblasted finish in place of the brushed.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
