Two-tone Design
The main section of this ring is made from grey tungsten, and it covers the entire interior surface as well as the middle section on the top. On either side of this center section on the top of the band, however, are notched rails made of rose tungsten that add some warmth and contrast to the piece. This contrast in terms of colors is also enhanced by the difference in the design between the two sections, with the smooth center juxtaposed with the broken surface of the rails created by the regularly-spaced notches. Contrasting Finishes and Customization Options
To take this study in contrasts even further, two different finishes are used on the divergent areas of the piece. The center grey tungsten section is brushed to create a matte surface, while the rails are polished to a high shine. Both the rails and the center section angle downward on both edges, creating a grooves between them and beveled edges for the ring as a whole.
Customizing this piece could involve choosing different colors for the various sections of the ring. One option might be simply switching to rose tungsten for the center and grey for the rails. You could also experiment with different combinations of finishes, or you might decide you prefer going with all one finish for a more uniform look.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
