This ring is a simple, seven millimeter band of yellow gold, polished and textured with a classic hammered aesthetic. It was designed by a man whose father and brother both have a similar wedding ring. He therefore wanted to honor this new family tradition. At the same time, he also opted for a hammered finish over a polished look to make the ring more uniquely his own.
Both wide and thick, it’s a ring that goes well with a large, thick, masculine hand. The greater width of the band also serves to offer a greater level of comfort, lending itself to the solid, practical aesthetic that is popular for men’s rings.
For this piece, we selected fourteen karat gold. This lacks some of the rich yellow coloration of the more popular eighteen karat gold, but it pays off in its greater hardness compared to the purer alloys. A textured ring made of soft metal will quickly become uneven, or even lose its detailed texture.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
