Once we have a good idea about the type of piece you’re interested in and the kinds of features you like, we’ll develop a unique design for you in CAD. You can view these digital proofs through the online workroom we set up to manage your project, and we’ll make any adjustment you request to ensure that every detail is perfect before we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Center Diamond and Pendant Design
The only gemstone in this piece is a 0.41 carat round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s tension set within the lower portion of the loop that makes up the body of the piece. The loop is formed from a flat piece of metal, the ends of which meet at the top of the pendant. The chain passes directly through holes in the sides of the curved piece, allowing the pendant to integrate smoothly without the need for a bale. Pendants
Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing this design, you may want to start by choosing a different type or shape of gemstone for the center. A pear shaped stone, for example, would fill the space within the loop, bringing a different type of overall aesthetic to the piece, and a colored diamond or sapphire could allow you to work a personal detail into the design.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
