Blue Topaz Center

The only gemstone in this piece is a 1.05 carat cushion shaped blue topaz, and it’s held securely in a bezel setting made from 14k white gold. The stone is positioned with its rounded corners at the compass positions, giving it a vaguely star-like quality and bringing a dynamic balance to the design.

The arrangement of facets across the top of the topaz adds to the dramatic presentation, as it creates an alternating pattern of dark and light spaces that changes depending on the direction the stone is viewed from. This adds another dimension to the design, as does the contrast between the scintillating blue of the stone and the brilliant silvery shine of the metal.

Filigree Basket and Milgrain Accents
