When you’re ready to begin the custom design process, you can stop by our Bellevue, WA showroom in person or reach out to us online. We’ll discuss your style and feature preferences with you, show you sample pieces, and review images of designs that have provided inspiration to you. We’ll then turn all of that into a unique design in CAD, and you can review and request any modifications you’d like to these models until you’re sure every detail is perfect.
Bezel Set Peridot
At the heart of this piece is a 1.10 carat cushion shaped bezel set peridot. The stone is oriented to sit with its corners at the compass positions, and its surface is broken up into a pattern of precisely-placed facets that produce a checkerboard-like appearance when it is viewed from various angles.
Milgrain and Filigree
Running along the top of the bezel setting is a double row of milgrain beading that forms a nice frame for the center stone. This detail also adds to the vintage aesthetic of the piece, and it ties in with similar metalwork found elsewhere on the pendant. Pendants
The basket behind the stone, for instance, is made up of pieces of filigree lined with milgrain and accented by larger decorative beads. This type of beading also runs up the front of the tapered bale that connects to the top of the pendant, and that too is lined with milgrain, helping to tie these diverse areas of the design together.

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
