We’ll continue through as many cycles of revision as necessary to ensure you’re completely satisfied, and only then will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production. Mother of Pearl Center and Metal Overlays
The centerpiece of this design is a pear shaped mother of pearl. Strips of metal also overlay the mother of pearl, and they’re arranged in an asymmetrical starburst-like pattern that gives the piece a vaguely organic quality. This complements the pattern in the matching earrings nicely even though it’s not identical to the one found there, and it also highlights the lovely shape of the mother of pearl at the same time. Diamond Halo
A halo made up of 26 small round diamonds, the combined total of which add up to 0.14 carats, are all split prong set. The halo follows the contours of the mother of pearl precisely, and the diamonds add a stunning sparkle to the set. They also provide a nice counterpoint to the warm tones of the metal and mother of pearl that dominate the rest of the design.
The body of the pendant is oriented to hang from its point, leaving its larger rounded side to sit at the very bottom. This brings a nice balance to the piece, and it facilitates the transition from the main section of the pendant to the tapered bale that, in turn, connects it to the chain.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
