Center Amethyst and Diamond Halo
The stone at the center of this piece is a cushion cut amethyst measuring 8mm by 8mm and is oriented to sit with its corners at the compass positions. This slightly rotated placement works well with the swirling pattern on the halo that surrounds the gorgeous center stone.
The halo is made up of round bright cut set diamonds of various sizes, and they’re gathered into somewhat triangular sections, pairs of which are lined up together and combine to form each side of the softly squared halo. Milgrain beading runs along the margins of these sections, adding some clarification to the design as well as some vintage flair.
Diamond Accents and Pendant Design
Directly above the halo, a larger round diamond is bezel set, and above this is the delicate bale. It has a generally marquise shape, and it’s made up of two strands of metal that come together only at the very top and very bottom. The chain passes through the back of this bale at the top corner, and both strands of the marquise frame are lined with shared prong set diamond accents, which provide some extra glamorous flair. Behind the main setting and halo, a basket made of custom scroll filigree protects the back of the main stone and adds to the vintage themes of the design. This filigree is lined with milgrain as well, which adds definition to the pattern and allows it to tie in with the design of the halo.

Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
