Sapphire and Diamond
The main focus of this design is the large 9.80 carats pear shaped blue sapphire at the bottom. The stone is positioned with its corner end up, leaving the wider bottom portion to hang down lowest and balance the design.
Five prongs cradle this gorgeous stone, and the top prong attaches to a metal link that joins the sapphire to the bezel setting above which holds a 1.01 carat round brilliant cut diamond. The dazzling white of the smaller stone adds another layer of contrast to the piece, and it centers the sapphire nicely.
Pendant Design
The bezel setting connects directly to the chain at points in the 10 o’clock and 2 o’clock positions on the side. This keeps the pendant from moving freely on the chain, helping to maintain it in the proper position at all times when worn.
