Amethyst and Blue Topaz
The two gemstones in this piece are a one carat round blue topaz and a one carat amethyst. They sit side by side near the bottom of the smaller of the two circles that make up the body of the pendant, and they’re both bezel set in palladium. The amethyst sits slightly higher than the topaz, introducing a bit of asymmetry to the design in a way that suggests a dynamic movement frozen in place.
If you’re interested in customizing this piece, one of the quickest ways to personalize it would be to substitute birthstones or other favorite gemstones for those used here. The birthstones of your children, for instance, could turn this into a wonderfully personal and significant piece, and various color combinations could also substantially alter the overall look and feel of the pendant as well.
Pendant Design
The body of the pendant is made up of two circles, with the smaller entirely contained within the larger. Both circles are gathered at the top by the bale, and this aligns the smaller circle towards the top of the larger circle, leaving much more space between them at the bottom of the pendant than at the top. The settings for both gemstones are attached to the inside of the smaller circle as well as to each other, and the round shape of both gemstones echoes the circular shapes found in the rest of the design.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
