Custom Letter D Diamond Pendant
Item #103525 Price includes chainPendant Description
Pendant Design
The shape of the pendant is an ornate letter D, and its specific design held special meaning for the client. As per our client's request, the front and back of the letter D have contrasting metal colors, creating subtle two-tone look that’s quite striking.
The pendant attaches directly to the chain through a loop on the top tip of the D, as well as one in the middle of the upward slope. These fixed connections keep the pendant in place by not allowing it to move freely on the chain. Using these types of connections also allowed us to forgo a bale, which kept the D as the main focus of the piece.
Diamond Accents
The front of the D is covered with round diamonds of varying sizes, all of which are bright cut set in white gold. The diamonds are arranged so that they fill the space available perfectly, and they were provided by the client to add even more personal significance to the piece. A line of small diamonds also runs up the straight side of the D, bringing some unexpected sparkle that’s only exposed when the pendant is viewed from an angle. Pendants
Because we had two somewhat larger diamonds left over after laying out the rest in the D design, we suggested integrating them into the chain. The client agreed she liked the look, and so we worked in the two round diamonds bezel set in yellow gold along one side of the chain to complement the asymmetrical nature of the pendant body.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
