Pink Sapphire Center
At the center of this pendant is a one carat cushion shaped pink sapphire. Its delicate color is complemented nicely by the warm metal it’s set in, and the way it’s oriented in the compass position, with two rounded corners inline with the bale, gives the design a nice overall balance.
Diamond Accents
A thin band separates the center sapphire from the diamonds encircling it. These are much smaller and round, and they’re all tension set. This arrangement creates an alternating pattern of diamonds and metal all the way around the perimeter of the pendant, with the dazzling sparkle of the diamonds helping to enhance the brilliance of the sapphire at the same time.
Customization Options
To begin customizing this piece, you might want to consider using different types or colors of gemstones in both the center and perimeter positions. You could also switch to yellow or white gold to introduce a different type of contrast, and you could experiment with different types of setting styes for all or some of the gemstones.
For instance, using a bezel setting in the center and bright cut settings for the surrounding diamonds would give the pendant a dramatically different look while keeping many of the main elements the same. Using our CAD models, our designers can show you what this and other combinations would look like, and you can use these models to determine exactly what features you want to include in your piece.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
