Sapphire and Diamonds
At the center of this piece is a 1.03 carat round bezel set ruby. The bezel setting protects the ruby, and it also highlights its perfectly round shape. The contrast of the rich red of the stone with the lovely white of the metal enhances the beauty of both elements, and this dynamic is only amplified by the sparkle of the 11 bezel set diamonds surrounding the ruby.
Milgrain and Pendant Design
Each of the bezel set diamonds are lined with milgrain beading for a lovely vintage touch, and the ruby in the center is framed beautifully by a double row of milgrain. This detail also extends to the bale, which features seven round bright cut set diamonds in their own milgrain frame, and this serves as the perfect visual link between the two parts of the pendant.
The way the bezel set diamonds are arranged around the center ruby makes the pendant seem almost floral in design, and that’s a theme you might choose to enhance if you decide to customize this piece. For instance, you could use rose gold instead of white to bring some organic warmth to the design. Another option to consider is replacing the diamonds with colored sapphires, and you may want to use a different type of stone in the center to give the piece an even more personal touch.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
