Pendant Design
In the center of the pendant, a narrow, solid piece of 18k white gold runs down between the two wings, and its slightly marquise shape joins with another at the bottom tip. This next section joins with another, and another follows that, with five sections in total making up the body and tail of the dragonfly. These sections get slightly smaller moving down, and the they also curve gradually off to one side.
The wings of the dragonfly are in two sections on each side, with the larger sections on top angling upward and the smaller sections below pointing slightly down. The wings are fully extended off to each side, and it’s at the very tip of the top set of wings that the chain joins directly to the pendant. The wings are also not solid, with the metal forming their outline and open space within. Pendants
Diamond Accents
A round bezel set diamond sits within the curve at the tip of each wing, and a fifth is set at the top of the body, forming the head. These bring beautiful sparkle and glamour to the piece, while also introducing a new level of definition to the design. Their bezel settings keep them flush with the body of the pendant, and they also highlight the diamonds’ perfectly round shape.
Customization Options
Although it’s a relatively minimalist design, there are plenty of ways you can customize this piece and make it your own. For instance, using a gemstone with special significance to you or to the recipient is a great way to add a personal touch along with some contrasting colors. Or if you’d like to keep the diamonds, you might consider using yellow or rose gold for the body of the pendant to add some more classical flavor and warmth as well.
