Blue Topaz Center and Halo
The centerpiece of this pendant is a large, trillion cut London blue topaz, and it’s held in place by three prongs that meet it at its corners. These prongs wrap gently over the soft corners of the stone, bringing a slight contrast while accentuating the perfect cut of the topaz.
The London shade is one of the darker types of blue topaz available, and the facets of the trillion cut help to bring out all of the subtle shades contained within it. The large size of the center also provides nice balance to the pendant overall, and it works well with the small size of the diamonds in the surrounding contoured halo. Pendants
Diamond and Filigree Accents
The diamonds in the halo are shared prong set, as are those in the perfect circle of metal that sits above this main setting. The circle attaches to the top corner of the halo, and it links with the round bale, which is another circle of metal rotated 90 degrees from the position of the first so that the two could pass through each other.
The front face of both circles hold shared prong set diamonds, helping to provide a unified look moving up the pendant towards the chain. Behind the main setting, a basket of custom scroll filigree protects the back of the topaz, adding some classical flair to the design at the same time.
