Emerald Cut Peridot
The central stone in this pendant is an emerald cut peridot measuring 8mmx6mm. It’s tension set in and the choice of setting leaves the sides mostly open so that as much of the stone is visible as possible. The rectangular shape of the bar coming down to create the top of the setting also works well with the shape of the stone and allows for a smooth transition into the setting.
Diamond Accent
Just below the peridot is a single round brilliant cut diamond that is also tension set. This adds just a hint of sparkle to the piece, and the diamond’s bright white color acts as a counterpoint to the soft green of the larger stone. This contrast is intensified by the round shape of the diamond, which is the only part of the piece that isn’t squared.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
