I just had a custom engagement ring made by Joseph Jewelry. The ring turned out wonderful and the overall experience was better than I would have expected. I came in with a budget in mind but not necessarily sure what I would be able to get. I spoke to a rep (Danny) and it was explained to me what I could get at my budget, below it and above it, and most importantly for me, why. I never felt like they were up-selling me, but rather explaining to me my options and letting me choose for myself. That helped make the experience a little more personal rather than just being another sale. And I ended up right around my price point. The CAD artist (Usiel) pretty much hit the nail on the head the first time around and was able to generate a rendering that almost looked real. He incorporated a pattern from a family bracelet into the ring. Viewing the model is a pretty nice feature when having something custom done before having it made. Communication was easy. You set up an account that you can email through as well as upload and download images. Basically monitor and archive the process from payment to design. They had a target date and I picked it up that day. When it comes down to it, it was just a great experience overall and the ring turned out better than expected.
