If you live locally, you’re welcome to visit our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to begin the custom design process. We can also complete custom pieces entirely online, however, if distance or scheduling pressures preclude you from coming in.
Diamonds and Sapphires
There are five blue sapphires and four diamonds in this ring, and all of these are princess cut and channel set. They’re arranged in an alternating pattern across the top of the band, and this helps highlight the contrast between their colors.
The use of the channel setting combined with the square shape of the princess cut also allows these gems to sit flush with each other as well as with the sides of the setting. This creates a truly glamorous look, and it’s just the type of design that can provide the perfect accent to many types of engagement ring designs.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
