This elegant women’s wedding ring features a raised leaf and vine pattern nearly all the way around the rose gold band, accented by contrasting polished and sandblasted finishes. We shared her ideas with our shop team to make sure we could get exactly the look she wanted, and then we produced some models of her custom design in CAD. She asked for only minor modifications to this before moving things into production, and even though she never visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, the structure of our custom design process ensured her complete satisfaction with the finished piece.
Floral Design
The main feature of this ring is the vine and leaf pattern that’s raised up above the main surface of the band. It includes a winding vine with leaves branching off each side in a repeating pattern that’s only interrupted by the small spacing bar at the bottom of the ring. The client provided images of her inspiration piece to us, as well as information about the types of customizations she wanted to make, and we replicated the pattern for her. Contrasting Finishes and Customization Options
The ring is made of 14k rose gold, and the raised sections are polished to a high shine. To help the design stand out further, the background is sandblasted, which creates a fine-grain matte surface, which also works nicely with the organic overtones of the design.
Of course, you could use only a polished finish on this ring to give it a more contemporary flair, or you could brush the raised section while leaving a polish on the background. Other customization options include changing the type of metal used, and adjusting the width of the band, and so the size of the pattern along with it.
You also may want to integrate some gemstones into the ring, with flush-set diamonds or sapphires a nice option for adding some sparkle. Colored sapphires in particular could work well with the organic overtones to produce a floral effect, and you could adjust the leaf and vine pattern itself to integrate flowers as well.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
