This elegant women’s wedding ring features round bright cut set diamonds across the top half of the band, separated by a notch in the center to accommodate the companion engagement ring we also made for this couple. The clients were from Snohomish, WA, and they had the engagement ring made first. They then came back to us when it was time for a wedding ring.
Contoured Wedding Bands
The contours of this band are dictated by the lines of the engagement ring that goes with it, which has a band that tapers slightly as it nears the main setting. Because the clients wanted the two rings to lay flush when worn together, that required making some minor adjustments to the shape of the wedding band.
When viewed from the side, this ring has a very slight outward curve, and it tapers just a bit at the bottom as well. These small touches make it the perfect complement to the engagement ring, and the notch in the middle of the row of diamonds allows the lower portion of the main setting to sit comfortably inside.
Custom Wedding Sets
Depending on the details of your engagement ring, you may or may not need a contoured wedding band to go with it. You can also opt to have a straight band that doesn’t sit completely flush but that you can wear on its own in certain situations.
