You can modify these digital models until they perfectly match your vision, and only then will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Floral Relief Engraving
The top surface of this ring is covered with a floral pattern composed of roses, leaves and vines. This is a wonderful example of the elegance of relief engraving, which is the style seen here. It involves cutting away the background to leave the desired design raised. As a subtle touch, the roses in this ring are angled slightly in alternating directions, creating a subtle movement and elegant flow within the design. Women’s Custom Wedding Bands
Contrasting Finishes
Contrasting finishes are used to highlight the engraved pattern in this piece, with the raised portions polished while the background is sandblasted. The sandblasted finish creates a relatively rougher surface, and this adds to the organic overtones of the design as well.
Running along the edges of the engraving are rows of decorative beads that provide a nice frame for the pattern. These line the margins of the top of the band, and they’re polished as well, allowing them to stand out from the background surface they enclose.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
