Mokume Gane
The swirling organic designs you see in the center of this ring are made from a combination of 14k rose gold and sterling silver. Thin sheets of these metals were layered together and then forged by our expert artisans to create the mokume gane portion of this ring, and due to the nature of the process, no two pieces of mokume will ever be exactly alike. If you look through the collection of mokume gane pieces on our website or in our Bellevue, WA showroom, you can get a good idea about the variety of patterns and color combinations that are possible. When you find a combination and pattern that you like, we can use the same technique to make yours, and you can expect about an 80% pattern match, allowing you to get the look you’re after while still producing a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
Band Design
The mokume section of this ring runs all the way around in the middle of the band, and it’s bordered on either side by 14k yellow gold rails. Both the mokume and the rails are brushed to create a soft matte surface, and the rails angle down away from the top on either side. We can work with you to design an entire wedding set, or we can help you design a custom wedding ring to match an engagement ring you already have. After learning a bit about your stye and feature preferences, we’ll develop CAD renderings of your piece as we propose to build it, and we’ll share these with you online.
At this point, you can ask questions and request any changes you’d like. We’ll work up new images based on this feedback, and we’ll repeat this cycle as many times as necessary until you’re sure we’ve outlined exactly the ring you’re looking for.

To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
