To begin the custom design process, you can stop by our Bellevue, WA showroom in person or you can reach out through our website. We will develop initial models based on the information you share with us at this first meeting, and we’ll modify those models through repeated cycles of revision until you’re sure every detail is perfect.
Blue Sapphire Centers
At the heart of these earrings are round blue sapphires that are prong set in 14k white gold. The two stones together total 0.60 carats, and their perfectly round shapes dictate the margins of the overall earring bodies as well. Adding to the dramatic presentation of these pieces is the contrast between the rich blue of the stones and the silvery shine of the metal they’re set in, a dynamic that helps to highlight the beauty of both elements.
Diamond Halos
Halos of small, round split prong set diamonds surround the sapphires, and this brings a classical flair as well as some glamorous sparkle to the design. The diamonds all together total 0.22 carats, but their small size does not take away from the lovely way their brilliant white sparkle contrasts with the deep blue sapphires they encircle. Earrings
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Above the main portion of each earring, a single round diamond is bezel set in white gold, and this setting is lined with milgrain beading for some extra vintage flair. Milgrain also lines the inner margin of the halo on each earring, and that small detail brings a delicacy and elegance to the design as well.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
