Aquamarine Stud Earrings
Item #102632Earrings Description
When you bring your custom design project to us, we take the time to learn everything we can about your style and feature preferences, as well as the types of gemstones and other elements that may hold special meaning for you. We use that information to develop a unique design for you in CAD, and only once you’re completely satisfied with every detail of these digital models will we begin casting anything in metal. Aquamarine Centers
The main focus of these earrings are the cushion shaped aquamarines that dominate their front surfaces. The stones combine to weigh 1.88 carats, and they’re both bezel set in 14k white gold. They feature a particular pattern of facets across their face as well, and this gives them their distinctive checkerboard appearance.
Milgrain and Filigree
The bezel settings surrounding these stones are lined with double rows of milgrain beading, a detail that also extends down to the filigree baskets that enclose the backs of the aquamarines. This filigree incorporates lines and triangles, while still maintaining an openness that allows plenty of light to reach the stones from behind. At the same time, it enhances the vintage overtones of the design, and the larger spaces on the filigree hold another type of decorative beading in addition to the milgrain that frames them. Earrings
Customization Options
To customize a design like this, you may want to start with a different type of stone in the center, or you could switch to a round or oval shape instead of the cushion cut used here. Modifying the pattern of the filigree is worth considering as well, as is changing to a different type of metal or eliminating the milgrain for a more modern look.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
