London Blue Topaz Centers
The largest gemstone in each earring in this set is a square emerald cut London blue topaz. The two of them together total 3.40 carats, and their rich, blue-green color creates a dramatic contrast with the warm tones gold they're set in. Their cropped corners are highlighted nicely by the bezel setting that follows their contours precisely, and the color combination used also adds significant classical overtones to the design. Diamond Halos and Filigree Baskets
Surrounding each larger topaz is a contoured halo of small, round split prong set diamonds. This feature adds to the classical feel of the set, while the diamonds also introduce a touch of glamorous flair and an additional layer of color contrast. There are 56 of these accent stones in all, and they combine to total 0.27 carats.
As a finishing touch, the backs of the topaz and halos are enclosed by a delicate basket made of custom filigree. The intricate pattern of the filigree enhances the classical overtones of the pieces, while simultaneously ensuring that plenty of light can get in to reach the center stones and intensify their shine.

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
