Sapphire Centers
In the middle of each earring, a round blue sapphire is compass prong set. The two stones together total 1.79 carats, and their rich blue color contrasts beautifully with the silvery metal surrounding them. The outer margins of the earrings are round just as these center stones are, and that relationship solidifies the sapphires’ place as the focus of the pieces.
Diamonds and Milgrain
The metal surrounding the sapphires is covered with bright cut set diamonds integrated into an elaborate pattern of milgrain beading. The milgrain divides the outer surface of the earrings into many small pockets, each of which holds one small round diamond, and this adds both to the vintage feel of the set and it’s glamorous flair. Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing these earrings, there are quite a few elements to consider. For instance, you could take things in a more vintage direction by switching to rose gold for the metal. Alternately, you may want to reverse the placement of the stones in the set by using diamonds in the center, with sapphires as accents. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
