After discussing her ideas with her, our team set up an online workroom through which we could communicate with her about her project. We posted images of various inspiration pieces here, and we also shared our CAD models when they were ready. She requested a few modifications to those models, and we also grew several waxes at different points in the process so that she could come in and take a look at them in person.
Center Diamond and Halo
At the top of this ring, a 1.21 carat round brilliant cut diamond is prong set in platinum. It sits in the center of a softly-squared halo of round shared prong set diamonds, and this halo is positioned slightly tucked under the center as well as angled gently downward. That helped to produce exactly the look the client was going for, as she wanted as little metal as possible showing around all of the diamonds in the center setting. Halo Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents and Basket Design
Shared prong set diamonds also line both shank shoulders down to near the mid-point on each side. These are slightly smaller than the diamonds in the halo, but the way they echo those stones in terms of shape and setting style helps bring a sense of unity and balance to the design. An ornate basket featuring teardrop-shaped loops of metal encloses the entire lower portion of the center setting. This was a detail that the client specifically requested be included in her ring, and all of the loops in the basket are lined with milgrain beading to provide a hint of vintage flair and a nice, finished feel for the ring.

Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.

Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
