14k Rose Gold Custom Opal And Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Item #103648 $6,465 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
He had one particular piece he wanted to customize, but he also drew inspiration from several other designs, and our team combined the elements he liked from each to produce this unique piece. He came in again to pick out the rough opal that we then had sent out to be specially cut to fit in the ring.
Opal Center and Diamond Halo
At the top of this ring sits a 2.66 carat cabochon cut blue opal, and it’s prong set in platinum in the center of a bright cut set diamond halo. The opal is a non-traditional choice for the primary position in an engagement ring, and the client knew he wanted it right from the start. Because the specific coloration of opals can vary so widely, we brought in a few options for the client to evaluate so he could pick the one he liked best. Halo Engagement Rings
The stone is roughly square, with a smooth, convex top surface that rises gracefully from the inner margins of the halo. The prongs curl up around these rounded corners, and the halo follows the contours of the stone perfectly. In addition to the diamonds on the top surface of the halo, there are also some bright cut set all the way around on the sides.
Diamond Accents and Hand Engraving
The band is widest at the top where it meets the underside of the halo, and it’s bright cut set with a line of round diamond accents that continue down to the mid-point on either side. These diamonds taper along with the metal they’re set in, and they create a nice connection to the diamonds in the halo at the top.100% Satisfaction
Custom hand engraving in a scroll style covers both ring fronts from the halo down to the middle of the band on each side as well. This brings a classical elegance to the design, and it's a detail that you can easily customize to reflect a pattern or symbol with personal significance to you and your partner.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
