Three-stone Setting
The centerpiece of this ring is a 2.00 carat oval blue sapphire with dazzling fire, and it’s flanked on either side by a round brilliant cut diamond. These are all held in place by prongs that rise up from the trellis setting below, and this arrangement gives the ring a delicate intricacy despite the impressive size of the stones at the top. Diamond Accents
Both sides of the shank are lined with channel set small round diamonds, and these continue down to about the three-quarter point on the band. They taper slightly as they descend, as well, mirroring the shape of the ring itself. These add a lovely sparkle and glamorous flair, and they also tie in nicely with the diamonds in the main setting above.
Custom Engagement Rings
Having your engagement ring custom made gives you the opportunity to include something of personal significance in the design. For instance, you could use a different color sapphire in place of the blue in this ring in order to reference your partner’s eye color, a favorite color, or a special memory. You could also adjust the shape of both the center sapphire and the accent diamonds to create a look that’s more in line with your personal style. The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
