Description
This beautiful engagement ring features an Asscher cut diamond in the center set in four claw prongs with a split shank design and a band of diamonds underneath the center, creating a three band look. It was created for a client from Portland, OR, who worked online with our designers to create the perfect ring for his fiance-to-be.

Our custom design process allowed the client to work back and forth with our designers. In a dedicated online workroom, he attached inspiration photos and chatted directly with his CAD designer to make the needed changes. The client was very happy with the resulting piece, and it is a lovely ring to start with as a base for your own design project. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Diamond
The centerpiece of this lovely ring is a 2.01 carat Asscher cut diamond. This particular cut has a subtle vintage glamour because it is step cut, meaning instead of small triangular and kite-shaped faceting, the diamond is cut in long parallel lines. The corners are clipped and this particular stone is square. The geometric undertones of this cut reflect a mild Art Deco theme, and the center is set with claw prongs, adding an extra element of elegance to the piece. Diamond Engagement Rings
Unique Look
Other than the center diamond, this ring is decidedly modern contemporary. The shoulders split into three arms on each side: the outer arms rise up and hold each corner of the center stone, while the center arm forms an arch underneath the center diamond. These arms are all split prong set with melee diamonds totaling .39 carats. The entire piece was created in platinum, which is a great choice because it is durable, hypoallergenic, and will never lose it's silver luster.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
