This lovely engagement ring features a round center diamond with a flourishing twisted band set with round diamonds. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who came into our Bellevue store to try on rings. This design stood out, and after viewing customized versions of the original design in CAD involving accent diamonds and hand engraving, the client chose the accented diamond version. Our custom design process allows you to make any changes you'd like to an existing design, although you may also start from just a sketch. Since this client was sure about the shape of the ring, but not the design for the shank, seeing the different options really helped to visualize the changes they'd asked for.
Shank Design and Diamond Accents
Originally, a solitaire design in our Bellevue showroom caught the client's eye. They loved the slightly twisted angles of the ring but wanted to add their own touch. From the bottom of the ring, the polished white gold curves around the wearer's finger. About halfway up the band, bright cut set diamonds begin. On the shoulders, the band begins to curve and then snakes around the center stone.
The beauty of this piece is that it looks asymmetrical from many angles, but it is actually symmetrical in its curves. The center diamond weighs .90 carats, and the accent diamonds total .09. The accent diamonds are slightly offset on the band, which adds more definition.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
