Center Diamond in Bezel Setting

This 1.02 ctw round brilliant cut diamond is securely fitted in a platinum bright cut rim. This bezel setting holds the center stone and protects it while showing off its beauty.
This setting style dates back to the ancient times and is one of the most common to firmly shelter center stones. While bezels were frequently used back then, the current technologies allow for a variety of designs that can bring a sleek and more modern look to the entire jewelry piece.
Not only this, but enclosing the diamond or the main stone with a bezel setting contributes in making it look larger. The misconception of a bezel dimming the brilliance of the diamond specifically is not true. While it may seem to do so, the diamond usually takes in most of the light from their table, which is totally exposed in this type of setting. Double-Halo Setting

The original piece which this design honors has a double-halo setting embracing the center diamond with the outer halo being exposed and prone to get caught on things. The safer approach was to hold the rounded diamonds and tapered baguettes with a larger prong surface instead of going for a mil grain technique that would give it a heavier feel.
